Your meal is presented on a heated stone at your table. It is cooked by you to your liking without any oils or fats, and the nutrients and natural juices are seared in at high temperature providing you with a delicious and healthy meal.

The Denniston Dog does it all!

We are based near Westport’s historical Denniston coal fields. Our photos and memorabilia give you an insight into the life of a Denniston coal miner.

You can come in for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a snack menu runs when the kitchen is closed. Our outdoor area means you can get some fresh air.

We delicious coffee and have a carefully selected list of New Zealand wines and ales. We have a free pool table and a large screen for the rugby & sports fans.

We can cater for big bookings or do dinner for two.

The Denniston Dog Bar and Restaurant is open every day except Christmas Day & Good Friday.
